Palm Springs based photographer Jeff Palmer started taking pictures of male nudes in 1984 "to look for a creative expression of the joys of coming out as a gay man." He quickly established himself as one of a handful of pioneering gay photographers whose work led to the reemergence of the male nude in mainstream culture.
This shadowy image of a hairy-chested stud captures a quiet moment of power, grace and beauty.
