Rare vintage Liberace Christmas card c. 1953.

Includes a "fold back and play" record at 78 RPM. The card is actually from Liberace "and George too," a violinist who appeared regularly on his younger brother's TV show in the 1950s.

To quote a line from La Cage aux Folles, Liberace was his "own special creation." His career spanned four decades. At the height of his fame he was the highest-paid entertainer in the world.

He died in Palm Springs, still closeted, in 1987. The Riverside County coroner performed an autopsy and accused his doctors, manager, and  family of "a deliberate attempt" to hid2e the cause of death: pneumonia due to complications from AIDS.
