Not just some podunk town, this is Podunk. Actually we don't know which one: The US Board on Geographic Names lists seven places named "Podunk," four of which are in Michigan.
In any case, this snapshot captures what appears to be a rehearsal for a song and dance number in a style that's unmistakably podunk. Think Waiting for Guffman.
