From the Collection of Ted F., this movie-star handsome blond in an elegant studio pose was wearing a posing strap. But Ted, in apparent desperation, attempted to scrape it off to reveal a hidden treasure. Alas, all he exposed was the paper. For me, rather than detracting from the photo, this adds a level of poignancy and interest.
