Large format photo of an unidentified team relaxing on (wolfskin?) rugs. No knowing what their sport was but the guys are cleary very cosy as they melt into one another. Five of them wear black ribbon ties. The seated man in the middle seems to be the patriarch and is the only one wearing light colored pants.
The photographer's (illegible) signature is embossed on the bottom left corner of the matt, with the address (14 Grant Ave, San Francisco, Cal.) on the right.
On the verso is a name: "Clark W. Hetherington" and a ghostly image of a different team.
9 3/4" x 8" gloss finish, mounted on decorative board (12 1/4" x 10 1/4"). Very good condition with tack holes in the corners, c. 1890s.
