Norm posed for several of the leading physique photographers of the day including Russ Warner, Denny Denfield, Bob Delmonteque and of course, Dave Martin. In 1955, Warner's studio was raided by the police. Apparently, when his photos became known, Tousley was fired from his position as a lieutenant of the Oakland Fire Department.
