Willard also did commercial photography and became a staff photographer for the American National Theatre and Academy.
In 1968, under the name Bruce King, he began producing a newspaper, Gay Scene, which he published until 1992. His films include: Leather Narcissus (1965), Salome: The Dance of the Seven Veils (1965), Reflections (1966), and Dream Boy (1966).
His archives, 76 boxes worth, are in the collection of the NY Public Library.
